The Fargo Moorhead Science Museum (FMSM) is a community project to design and build a destination science museum for our region. 

Through immersive exhibits and hands-on programs, the museum will be a place where curiosity is rewarded and science belongs to everyone.

FMSM is locally rooted and globally relevant. Shaped by educators, scientists, families, and community partners, the museum reflects both the strengths of our region and the gaps in access to meaningful science learning. By connecting education to careers and celebrating innovation happening here, FMSM will elevate Fargo–Moorhead’s identity as a national leader in STEMM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine.

While work continues toward a permanent museum, FMSM is already fulfilling its mission through free, hands-on outreach programs in accessible community spaces such as libraries, parks, and admission-free community events. 

The Fargo-Moorhead Science Museum is a bold investment in our region’s future, and will serve as a destination to inspire curiosity and opportunity for generations to come.
