Isabelle Chambers

Isabelle Chambers is a recent graduate of Northeastern University, where she studied Cell and Molecular Biology. During her time in Boston, she worked at a biotech venture capital group, various biotech companies, and in an academic lab. Spending time in and out of the lab, combining hands-on research with strategic roles, she has seen how industry, education, and basic science translate to interdisciplinary innovation.

Isabelle’s research background is in plant biochemistry, the human microbiome, and epigenetics (related to autoimmunity). Working in these areas, she developed a strong appreciation for experimental design and the potential of basic science to diagnose and treat patients. Currently, she is consulting and working with BiomedProtection ND using natural products for cardiovascular health and wound healing.

She is passionate about making science approachable, fun, and accessible. As a native of Fargo, she strives to spark curiosity in people of all ages and backgrounds in her community. Working with the FMSM provides a way to encourage the region to participate in scientific discovery and advancement.

Along with her scientific work and consulting, Isabelle coaches middle and high school springboard diving, where she finds joy in mentoring young athletes and building up confidence, discipline, and growth both in and out of the pool.
