The Fargo-Moorhead Science Museum received a major donation of $225,000 from a private local organization, making it possible for the Museum to begin the search for an executive director and launch the planning phase of a capital campaign with the goal of opening a science museum for Fargo-Moorhead.
“We’re beyond thankful for the enthusiasm this donor has shown for this museum,” said FMSM Board President Ken Brazerol. “These funds will have an immediate impact on our ability to realize our mission: breaking barriers to ignite the curiosity in all of us. This will be a premier community resource for STEM learning.”
Brazerol said the funds come as the board of directors embarks on a search for an executive director who can provide day-to-day leadership and coordination as planning and feasibility studies move forward. The FMSM is also in the process of selecting a site for its facility and developing community resources prior to opening, including a mobile STEM classroom.
